MY SISTER GEORGIA



My older sister, Georgia, married Lando (Dody) Ivester from a well known farming community family. Dody is shown on his Farmall tractor. Son Steve is on his tractor. Dody was a husky man. Once when I visited him and my sister Georgia on their farm, Dody ate an entire pie as one of his breakfast courses.


Shown here is Coreena, the youngest daughter who stayed in Sayre to raise her family. Her daughters Lori and Sheri Gilliland are shown with their nephew..


Georgia and her second husband, Doyle Blackwell, worked together to found a lovely flower and garden nursery on the river-bottom soil next to Sayre’s Red River.


Georgia and Dody had three girls and one boy.
